The common colors of basalt are black, dark brown, bluish gray and dark green. It is a kind of dense or foamy rock formed by the cooling and solidification of magma erupted from a volcano. In the classification of rocks in geology, it belongs to magmatic rocks (also known as igneous rocks). Basalt features strong corrosion resistance, high compressive strength, low crushing value, low wear resistance and water absorption rate, as well as good asphalt adhesion. It is an ideal building material for railway construction, expressway and airport runway construction.

Basalt technology

Basalt crushing production lines typically adopt a three-stage crushing process flow, namely: jaw crusher + cone crusher + impact crusher + vibrating screen. In practical applications, the crushing process flow should be reasonably designed based on factors such as the raw material conditions of basalt, the requirements for finished products, the output requirements, and the site conditions.

Part One: Coarse Crushed sections

Basalt raw materials are fed into the jaw crusher by the vibrating feeder on the material table for crushing. Larger materials are crushed to the feeding size of the next process. The crushed stone materials are conveyed to the transfer silo by the conveyor belt for stacking.

Part Two: Fragmented Sections

The crushed materials are fed into the conveyor by the bottom feeder of the transfer silo and then sent to the cone crusher for fine crushing. The stone materials that meet the requirements enter the subsequent process for shaping, while those with overly large particle sizes are returned to the cone crusher for re-crushing.

Part Three: Shaping Section

After the materials that meet the requirements enter the impact crusher, the high-speed rotation of the rotor generates centrifugal force, causing the materials to rub and collide with each other in the crushing chamber, thereby eliminating the internal cracks and needle-like plates produced during the crushing process, achieving the shaping effect.

Part Four: Screening Section

The crushed materials are sent into the circular vibrating screen by the conveyor belt for screening. According to different material requirements, various specifications of finished stone materials are sorted out. Finished stones of various models are respectively conveyed into the finished product silo by belts for storage, and the finished sand is sent to the sand washing machine for cleaning. The materials after the sand washing machine pass through the tailings recovery integrated machine and are then conveyed to the finished product silo for storage by the finished product conveyor belt. The wastewater from the production line enters the sewage treatment system for recycling.
