Dedicated 325Mesh Limestone Grinding Mill Project for India's Construction Industry

Source: adminDate: 2026-03-17

Project Overview

A major infrastructure supplier in Rajasthan, India, urgently required a high-capacity production line to supply the 325-mesh limestone powder needed for local cement and mortar manufacturing. To efficiently process the region's relatively hard limestone (Mohs hardness 3–4), we equipped them with a specialized limestone grinding mill. This production line achieves an output capacity of 15–22 tons per hour.

Material Quality and Analysis

The limestone utilized in this project is sourced from the Jodhpur region, renowned for its high-density characteristics.

Due to its exceptionally high calcium content, the resulting 325-mesh limestone powder exhibits superior chemical reactivity when blended with Portland cement.

Project Advantages: High Output, Energy Efficiency, and Enhanced Performance

The CRRM limestone grinding mill is expertly designed to process non-flammable and non-explosive minerals with a Mohs hardness of 7 or less and a moisture content below 6%. It efficiently grinds a wide range of materials—including limestone, marble, calcite, potash feldspar, barite, dolomite, maifanite, granite, bentonite, kaolin, bauxite, gypsum, talc, fluorite, slag, red iron oxide, and iron ore. Furthermore, the equipment offers flexible adjustment of the finished product's fineness, ranging from 80 to 325 mesh. It accepts a maximum feed size of 35 mm, achieves a 325-mesh passing rate of ≥95%, and produces a product with uniform particle size distribution.

The system boasts a high-efficiency production capacity ranging from 11.5 to 50 tons per hour. It offers extensive customization capabilities, allowing for upgrades—based on specific client requirements—into an integrated grinding and sand-making unit. This integration combines multiple superior functionalities into a single system, thereby effectively enhancing the overall added value of the final product.

Limestone Powder Applications by Particle Size

Fineness RangeParticle Size / MeshMain Applications
Coarse Powder80-100 mesh (approx. 150-180μm)Mainly used in construction mortar, cement grinding aids, flux for steelmaking in steel plants, road base fillers, etc. Coarse powder has large particles and slow chemical reaction speed, making it suitable for structural filling and alkalinity adjustment.
Medium Powder200-300 mesh (approx. 45-75μm)Widely used in cement plants, papermaking, chemical industries (lime milk preparation, desulfurizers), rubber fillers. The powder is fine, reacts quickly, and offers good adsorption and filling properties.
Fine Powder400-600 mesh (approx. 20-40μm)Used in high-quality coatings, plastic fillers, environmental dust removal, pharmaceuticals, food industry, etc. Fine powder has a large surface area and high reactivity, making it suitable for fine processing and chemical reactions.
