In 2025, Cronus built a coal powder processing plant in Vietnam with an annual capacity of 35,000 tons, consisting of three independent production lines. The project uses a combined configuration of CLRM9720 and CLRM1300 Raymond mills, delivering a stable output of 200-mesh finished powder to provide a solid foundation for local industrial fuel optimization. The multi-line configuration offers greater operational flexibility and reliable capacity, effectively avoiding the risk of production shutdowns caused by a single line stoppage. Both equipment operational stability and capacity attainment rate rank among the leading levels in the local industry, setting a benchmark for efficient and energy-saving coal processing projects in Southeast Asia.

Feeding and Conveying:
Raw material is crushed to particles below 20mm and lifted by a bucket elevator into the storage silo. A variable-frequency vibrating feeder ensures continuous and even feeding of material into the grinding chamber, with feed rate intelligently adjustable according to production load to precisely match the operating conditions of the main mill unit—critical for maintaining a stable grinding layer, preventing equipment overload, and ensuring continuous mass production.
Raymond Mill Main Unit:
The core equipment of the production line, featuring a sturdy pendulum-type grinding structure with long-lasting wear-resistant parts suited to coal's high hardness and abrasive processing characteristics. As the main shaft rotates, the grinding rollers swing outward due to centrifugal force and press tightly against the grinding ring; built-in scraper blades lift and scatter the material between the rollers and ring, achieving material pulverization through high-pressure crushing and shearing action, resulting in high grinding efficiency and uniform particle size.
Analytical Classifier:
Integrated at the top of the main unit, this variable-frequency classifier uses controllable centrifugal airflow to precisely screen particles, with the D97 classification point adjustable freely within the range of 80 to 400 mesh, allowing precise control of finished product fineness. After strict screening, only qualified 200-mesh powder proceeds to the collection stage, while coarse particles that fail to meet the standard are automatically returned to the grinding chamber for re-grinding, eliminating uneven particle size in the finished product and perfectly matching the project's production requirements.
Pulse Dust Collector:
This high-efficiency tank-type dust collector is equipped with high-quality corrosion-resistant filter bags suited to the dust characteristics of coal powder processing, comprehensively capturing finished powder from the airflow. The equipment operates entirely under negative pressure, achieving zero dust leakage with a powder recovery rate of up to 99.9%, not only maximizing finished product yield but also meeting Vietnam's strict local environmental emission standards, enabling green and safe production.
High-Pressure Blower:
Serving as the system's "power lungs," it provides stable negative pressure and high-speed airflow for the entire process of powder lifting and conveying, supporting continuous operation of the whole closed-loop grinding system. The equipment is fitted with a professional noise-reduction muffler, effectively lowering operating noise, while ensuring stable airflow and pressure throughout the closed-loop grinding circuit, guaranteeing constant capacity and stable working conditions during long-term continuous operation.
PLC Intelligent Control System:
The "core brain" of the plant's intelligent operation, it monitors core parameters such as equipment vibration, motor frequency, operating temperature, and system pressure in real time, with fully visualized operation control. The automated system ensures highly consistent product quality across every batch, while also featuring intelligent fault diagnosis, abnormality warning, and emergency shutdown functions, comprehensively protecting equipment safety, significantly reducing reliance on manual operation, and enhancing the level of production intelligence.
To ensure the equipment achieves optimal performance and to guarantee production safety, our senior engineers traveled to the project site in Vietnam to provide full-process installation, commissioning, and calibration guidance, meticulously fine-tuning every piece of equipment and every connection point in the production line to ensure the entire system was adapted to local operating conditions and achieved optimal coal powder processing results. Given coal's flammable and explosive properties, the entire production line is equipped with high-standard explosion-proof motors and explosion-proof electrical control components, minimizing safety hazards from the hardware level and ensuring stable round-the-clock operation. At the same time, we provided systematic technical training for the local operation and maintenance team, covering core content such as equipment operation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring the project achieves stable production capacity and efficient operation immediately upon startup.
Energy Transition:
Driven by factors such as natural gas shortages, international oil price volatility, and rising industrial production costs, Vietnam's industrial system is accelerating its energy structure upgrade. With its cost-effectiveness, stable combustion, and strong adaptability, 200-mesh high-precision coal powder is gradually replacing traditional fuels, becoming the core clean fuel for local heavy industries such as cement, steel, and textiles—a key choice for enterprises seeking to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and maintain market competitiveness.
Main Application Areas:
200-mesh coal powder is the core essential fuel for cement rotary kiln production, providing complete combustion and stable calorific value that effectively ensures the quality of cement products. In the steelmaking industry, pulverized coal injection (PCI) technology is becoming increasingly widespread, using low-cost coal powder to replace expensive coke and significantly reducing steelmaking production costs. In addition, numerous textile and chemical enterprises in Vietnam have completed boiler equipment upgrades to fully adapt to coal powder fuel production, raising higher standards for powder fineness uniformity and capacity stability, driving continuously rising demand for high-precision coal powder.
Vietnam's industrial sector is currently developing rapidly toward large-scale, refined, and intelligent coal processing, and traditional extensive coal powder processing equipment can no longer meet the industry's high standards for production, environmental protection, and safety. Complete grinding solutions with advantages such as automated mass production, high-precision powder milling, environmental friendliness, and safety and stability can effectively resolve local enterprises' capacity bottlenecks and quality challenges, precisely capitalize on Southeast Asia's industrial energy transition dividend, and hold very broad market application prospects.
